JASON THIESSEN (Guest of Honor)

Jayson Thiessen, Supervising Director for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has been with the series from the premiere episode of Season 1 to the Season 3 finale, and every episode in between! Has also been a stop-motion animator on MLP: FiM and a director for Pucca and a vital part of several other animated shows, including Ed, Edd ‘n’ Eddy, Kid vs Kat, and Aaagh! It’s the Mr. Hell Show!

This will be Jayson’s first convention appearance since 2011, and he’s got some pretty great things in store for our attendees – including panel appearances, autographs, and so much more!


ANDREA LIBMAN (Guest of Honor)

The voice of not one but two of the “Mane Six” characters of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Libman brings the mild-mannered FLUTTERSHY, and the polar-opposite party pony, PINKIE PIE, to life in the series, a contrast so stark that it’s hard to believe it’s the same actress!

A veteran of the voice acting scene, she bears a distinguished reputation for her roles in Madeleine, X-Men: Evolution, Dragonball, and Dragon Tales, among many others.

TARA STRONG (via Skype)

The Twilicious Tara Strong is joining us our virtual Guest of Honor! In addition to voicing everyone’s favorite purple unicorn, you may remember her versatile voicework from such shows as The Powerpuff Girls, The Fairly OddParents, Rugrats and Teen Titans, plus video games like ‘Batman: Arkham City‘ and ‘Lollipop Chainsaw‘. She even voiced a character on Family Guy!

Known as the ‘Queen of the Bronies’, you can always follow Tara’s awesome antics on Twitter. Just like her many wonderful characters, she’s sure to make you laugh and bring a smile to your face!

ANDY PRICE (Guest of Honor)

Big Apple Ponycon is delighted to bring you Andy Price: artist, illustrator, font of endless TV trivia, and tireless defender of Gotham City’s bakery district!

KATIE COOK (Guest of Honor)

Katie Cook is a comic book artist and writer from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her writing for the best-selling My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic from IDW is what makes her important to the pony world… but she also has done work for Star Wars, the Jim Henson Company, Marvel and more.

Her popular weekly webcomic, Gronk: a monster’s story, has been nominated (and lost) several awards.

RINA-CHAN (Event Host)

Video game, anime, and fan VA sensation Rina-chan joins us as Master of Ceremonies, a role which she reprises from her work at previous events throughout the ponysphere. Known for her work on indie video game hit ‘Castle Crashers‘ as well as her amazing impressions of multiple MLP:FiM characters across a wide range of fan projects, Rina-chan is sure to keep the crowd delighted!


JESSI NOWACK

Jessi “Nowacking” Nowack is a voice actress and parody writer for the vast ocean that is the internet. An actress since age six and a voice actress for the last five years, Jessi has lent her voice to video games, radio plays, animations, over 100 internet parodies, and many more projects. In the pony community, she is most known for voicing Vinyl Scratch in “Epic Pie Time,” “Epic Wub Time,” “Pony Rock Anthem,” and “Amplifyre” and LittlePip in the upcoming “Fallout Equestria” Radioplay. Jessi also voiced Gilda in “Turnabout Storm,” (the Phoenix Wright/My Little Pony FIM crossover series,) and will be playing several characters in a few fan-made My Little Pony video games. She is a writer for Alligator in the Tub Productions, (the makers of the “Epic ___ Time” series,) and the parody series “Dark Swamp” and “Pokémon ‘Bridged”.

JOE STRIKE

Joe Strike is an animation journalist whose work has appeared in the New York Daily NewsNewsday, the Village Voice, the New York Press, and is a regular contributor to the entertainment industry website Animation World Network. He has scripted the Nick Jr. animated seriesWow! Wow! Wubbzy! and hosts and produces Interview with an Animator, an ongoing series of publicly attended conversations with animation notables.

As a staff producer at the Griffin Bacal advertising agency and its entertainment subsidiary Sunbow Productions in the mid-1980s, Joe was present at the creation of the first My Little Pony animated TV specials and the introduction of the “G1″ Pony line. Joe created promotional and marketing videos for Pony as well as Hasbro’s G.I. Joe and Transformers brands. Joe will recount those early days of Pony and screen the long unseen Pony promotional videos from his personal collection.

STEPHANIE BUSCEMA

Stephanie Buscema is an illustrator and painter from New York. She creates hand painted images heavily influenced by music, 1950′s kitsch, old monster movies and vintage children’s books. Her days are spent in the studio where she works on children’s books, cover illustrations, comic art and paintings for exhibition.

NYC locals may recall her as one of the cover artists forIDG’s MLP #1.

SUMMER HAYES

Summer Hayes has been collecting My Little Ponies for as long as she can remember. She is the author of multiple books in The My Little Pony Collector’s Inventory Series including her most recent guide, The My Little Pony 2009-2012 Collector’s Inventory. Summer has been active in the My Little Pony collecting community for many years and coordinates the MY LITTLE PONY Fair and Convention, an annual event in its 10th year celebrating My Little Pony and the people who love them!

THE TRAVELING PONY MUSEUM

The famous Traveling Pony Museum, curated by the amazing Inky Notebook, will be on display at BAP, as it has at a number of other fine pony conventions. Featuring a wide range of artwork across all media and a dizzying cornucopia of styles, TPM showcases the creative magic that makes the pony fan community special. NOTE: TPM is presently seeking artists! See this post for details.



UNANIMOUS DELIVERS

Take some MLP episodes and some scotch tape, stick them in a blender, hit puree for a minute, and see what comes out. Chances are it will look horrible, however there’s a 1 in 50 chance it might also resemble Your FacePinkie Trigger1000 People Clicked Subscribe, or one a number of other videos by Manehattan’s own Unanimous Delivers, who will be on hand to gladly let you know he made videos other than Night Of Pony.
